This weekend we kayaked to Point Walter, a nature reserve on the Swan River. There is also a nice coffee shop with big heaters. This birds eye view from Google maps shows Point Walter which is the spit with the sandbar jutting out. The canoe club is at the other side of the river.

I found this incredible picture here, just want to reassure you (and myself) that Great Whites do not come into the Swan river! This picture shows research scientists in South Africa, using sea kayaks to get closer to the sharks!
